Why follow this sequence
Start on Finikoudes to understand the shoreline, turn towards the archives at Europe Square, then go inland to Saint Lazarus. Finish at the castle, where the town meets the southern waterfront.
Stops and choices
- Finikoudes
Use the marina and castle as two clear endpoints. Walk the seafront first, then turn inland towards Saint Lazarus rather than trying to follow every restaurant sign. Keep the beach stop separate from any timed museum visit.
- Municipal Historical Archives–Museum
Choose this stop for the history of the modern town rather than ancient Kition. Pair it with the neighbouring municipal gallery, leaving the archaeological museum for a separate visit.
- Church of Saint Lazarus
Look at the building from the square before entering: the exterior gives you the scale of the church, while the iconostasis rewards a slower interior visit. Allow worshippers priority and keep photography unobtrusive.
- Larnaca Medieval Castle
Make this the hinge between the central promenade and Piale Pasha. Decide whether you want the museum interior or just the exterior before continuing south; these are different visits.
Practical decisions
Choose the church or archives as your indoor priority; trying to enter everything makes this a museum day rather than a compact walk.
